Hamilton cruises to Italian GP win as Rosberg DNF early

Defending world champion, Lewis Hamilton got off like a rocket and converted pole into the lead, while Raikkonen’s qualifying effort vanished just on the start, his Ferrari did not get off the line, and fell to last place. Vettel leaped up to second, while Rosberg dropped back to P6 in bid to avoid the slow moving Raikkonen.

It was Hamilton who took a victory despite some last minute worrying problems for the Brit. The Englishman won by 25 seconds over fan favorite Sebastian Vettel in the Ferrari. It was a truly disappointing end for Rosberg, after the bad qualifying all the German got was heavy flames. Rosberg failed to finish.

Relief for Scuderia Ferrari emerged, Vettel was second just behind Hamilton who will take to the astonishing podium. After a dreadfully start for Raikkonen, he did well to take P5.

The Williams battled it out to the end, Massa took P3 by 0.3 over team-mate Bottas. The Williams had a rather fun race, keeping Rosberg at bay all until the first round of pit-stops.

The Force India pairing came home in P6 and P7, with Perez taking the initiative.

Red Bull had a decent recovery after starting towards the back, Ricciardo took P8 and Kvyat P10.

McLaren yet again had an unwatchful race, Button took P14, whilist Alonso made a last minute retirement

It was a good recovery for home team Toro Rosso. After Verstappen started last, Verstappen finished P12, despite being a lap down, Sainz finished up in 11th.
