Ferrari has officially confirmed that 2007 F1 world champion Kimi Raikkonen will team up Sebastian Vettel in 2016 F1 season.
Raikkonen is extremely pleased with Ferrari’s 2016 race seat opportunity, and once again he highlight that he wants to finish his career at Ferrari.
“What can I say… For me, to be able to stay another year at Ferrari means that the dream goes on. The Scuderia is my family, as I always said, it’s here I want to end my career.”
“I am more committed than ever and I want to say thank you to the people who gave me this chance. Also, a big thank you goes to all my Ferrari fans, for their continuous support”.
20-times F1 race winner, Raikkonen is now fifth in the 2015 F1 Drivers’ standings and sits 84 points adrift of teams-mate Sebastian with a best result of second at Bahrain Grand Prix.
