Raikkonen frustrated with “disaster” qualifying at Monaco GP

Kimi Raikkonen made another underperforming qualifying at Monaco GP and he has admitted that it was a disaster.

The Finn will start tomorrow race sixth behind Red Bull duo, with overtaking extremely difficult on the tight and twisty circuit.

Kimi was half a second slower than his teammate Sebastian Vettel in third.

“It’s obviously a very bad result in the end and obviously it’s difficult to overtake here, so it’s not a very happy day,” Raikkonen told reporters.

“We had no grip on the first set [for the first run]. The second run felt normal but I had traffic. It was a disaster. The car felt OK but it was difficult to get heat in the tyres.”

“But it is what it is right now and we try to make a good start and go from there tomorrow, but obviously it is going to be a long race if we are stuck behind some cars. We will try to make the maximum out of it whatever happens tomorrow.
