In Bahrain, race Button working as pundit role on his social media

McLaren have made a perfect step forward in China following duo Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button finished the race without any major trouble, but again they are went two steps back in Bahrain.

Jenson Button was not participated his 100th race for McLaren following an Energy Recovery System disallowed him from making it to the start-line.

Following the Brit spent his evening delivering a live commentary of the race on Twitter and Facebook.

Eric Boullier explained afterwards what the problem was: “The team had worked prodigiously hard to try to ready his car for the race after his technical issues in qualifying, but, sadly, during the fire-up we noticed data that indicated an unresolved issue originating from the electrical glitches that had struck during the practice sessions yesterday and the day before.”

“We believed that there was a significant likelihood that the issue would recur in running, and would indeed eventually scupper Jenson’s race. We tried our best to fix it but, sadly, we weren’t able to find a remedy in time for the start.”
