Rosberg frustrated by small gap to Chinese GP pole – Video

The German Nico Rosberg was left frustrated following closely lost pole position for tomorrow’s Chinese Grand Prix.

“Oh come on guys,” the German expressed his disappointment on the radio when told the gap was less than a tenth of a second here in China.

“It’s very frustrating, definitely yes. It makes a big difference, starting first or second. Four-hundredths makes such a big impact, but there we go.” He told media

Rosberg is expecting to use his strategy to out-think Hamilton at a circuit where tire management is critical.

“That’s the situation for me now and I’m still confident for tomorrow,” Rosberg said.

“I’ve focused on race pace with my set up and I know that tires will be the decisive factor tomorrow.
“So I will be aiming to put a lot of pressure on Lewis ahead of me.”

Where is your best chance of getting ahead of Lewis Hamilton tomorrow?

“There are a few opportunities. There is the start here, then there is the strategy and tyre degradation. Tyre degradation is going to be a big issue tomorrow as we are going to take the tyres right to the limit. So there are many opportunities.”
