Bottas fastest as 2015 pre-season testing finished

Valtteri Bottas set fastest lap-time for the final day of F1 2015 pre-season testing, today most teams testing with the race simulation and it’s resulted that four centuries recorded in the final time-sheet.

McLaren struggle continues, in the morning session Woking based squad just did two laps, MP4-30 made few limited runs in the afternoon finally made 30 laps. Long-time systems checks restricted Jenson Button’s today time.

Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel managed second fastest lap-time. In the afternoon session Ferrari trying race simulation, but this was taken lengthy time to spent at garage. Finally he completed 66 laps with race-mode.

Sauber perfectly made top mileage in a day at Circuit de Catalunya, as rookie Felipe Nasr completed 159 laps and he did third quickest. The Brazilian also runs with the race simulation in the afternoon.

Toro Rosso also initially planned race simulation but they plan changed when the STR-10 forced to stop on track following power unit problem. The youngster set fourth fastest and completed 85 laps overall today.

The Red Bull Racing struggled in the morning session following the ERS issues; but the Australian Daniel Ricciardo made fifth fastest and managed a race distance.

Sergio Perez made his first appearance of Force India’s new VJM08, and they proved impressive consistency of the new machine and made 130 laps.

The masters Mercedes today mainly focused on aerodynamic and set-up work, and they made laps mostly in soft-compound with high-fuel, Nico ended the day with seventh fastest ahead of McLaren’s Jenson Button.

Just after lunch break, Pastor Maldonado crashed at Turn 4 and its ended Lotus F1’s final day of testing. Today the team spent a lot time for change front wing settings, which the team said would impact the car’s balance shortly before the accident.
