Hamilton fastest on penultimate day of testing



Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes proved their extra strength, defending world champion set today best time 1:23.022 with Soft-compound in the afternoon running. In these session Mercedes had taken couple of hour for set-up change and completed 76 laps without any trouble.

Felipe Massa set second fastest for Williams he did the best time in super-soft tyre in the morning ahead of Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, the Italian squad today testing race simulation mode.

Toro Rosso young speedy Carlos Sainz Jr. set fourth fastest during the final session with Super-soft. He managed 132 laps and finished early following stopped at Turn 3.

The Lotus driver Romain Grosjean set fifth quickest, also he made 116 laps without any major trouble. Morning session Lotus test different set-up running and focused on Pit-stop practice.

Marcus Ericsson set sixth fastest also he made 123 laps. Force India’s Nico Hülkenberg top on the mileage sheet with 158 laps and made seventh fastest.

Again McLaren was limited to just 39 laps. Magnussen set eighth fastest, MP4-30 suffered with an oil leak and they are done only one lap in afternoon session.

Ricciardo finished another unimpressed day for Red Bull as the Australian managed with 128 laps and put slowest time the testing.

Two red flag interrupted today testing, the first one made by Sauber’s Marcus Ericsson, he stopped at Turn 3, and second one made by Toro Rosso’s rookie Carlos Sainz Jr., he stop at the same place just before chequered flag.
