Rosberg set fastest in final practice for the German GP

Title leader Nico Rosberg has set quickest in the final practice session for the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim. The local hero finishing quite well, nearly six-tenths of a second clear of teammate Lewis Hamilton.

Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso set third fastest ahead of Williams’ duo Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas. Kimi Raikkonen was the first driver runs with super-soft tyre, after his early fuel pump issue.

McLaren rookie, Kevin Magnussen perfectly completed practice with a new front wing and set seventh fastest ahead of Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg and Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo.

FRIC suspension system changes and Heavy wind speeds, drivers continued to struggle, with the run-off area at turn one frequently being used.

Also Fernando Alonso’s pace was also stunted when he spun at turn eight after locking up, damaging his tires. Hamilton lost a quick lap in the same place, but managed to avoid spinning, and some rivals too much struggled to manage turn eight.
