Austrian GP Race: Vettel retires following numerous issues

Again four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel ended race with huge disappointment. On lap two Vettel RB10’s throttle drop-out, but he can restart the race and join the 22nd position, again he suffered following front-wing damage, when that incident happened with Gutierrez. Finally on lap 34 Red Bull decided to stop his race with numerous troubles.

“We stopped because we wanted to save some mileage,” Vettel told the BBC.

“We were hoping to get a Safety Car but it didn’t happen and there is no point continuing when you are a lap behind.”

The four-time World Champ added: “It’s part of the game [retirement] obviously it’s been a bad first half of the season with three retirements and many problems, it’s part of the game and we have learnt a lot.”

“It has been a disappointing season so far for Sebastian Vettel. The last four years have been a blur of winning championships but he has been frustrated by the last of consistency from his car.” David Coulthard, BBC F1 co-commentator said.
