Rosberg fastest in first practice in Austrian GP

Dominated Mercedes GP’s speedy; Nico Rosberg finishes fastest in first practice for the Austrian Grand Prix.

Rosberg took fastest with 1:11.2, 0.1 seconds ahead of his team-mate Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso set third fastest, Felipe Massa of Williams managed fourth fastest ahead of McLaren’s Jenson Button.

Another disappointed news for Red Bull duo in this session, Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel outside the top 10 on their team’s home circuit. With The defending world champion getting himself in a huge spin where he did well to avoid hitting the barrier.

Mercedes, Williams, McLaren and Force India drivers’ take the top places of the time lists. The Red Bull Ring has long straights mix together with slow corners, Power with high torque at the bottom and a good top speed than the benefit.

Finding the right brake balance and braking points is an important target in free practice. Mostly all drivers just shoot the outlet strip in the first or second turn.
