Lewis Hamilton wins after another stunning battling with team-mate Nico Rosberg for Spanish Grand Prix. The Brit has won four consecutive races for the first time in his career. And this victory is his 26th in F1 career also the first top podium for Spanish GP.
The distance was just 0.6 seconds among the Mercedes duo, they come to crossed finishing line after 66 laps, let open the door for Lewis Hamilton to move to the top of the drivers’ championship for the first time in nearly two season.
He very pleased with Spanish GP weekend, and called it was far from a perfect race, also the Brit admits pressure from team-mate Nico Rosberg in the final stage of the race and claims that force has motivate him to forced into top podium.
“It was far from a perfect race. It was very difficult to focus when you are being pushed from behind but I had an oversteering car. It makes it so much harder to save the tyres. Nico Rosberg was catching me on the entry of corners today. After the race Hamilton told BBC sports.
“I was watching a screen around the circuit and I could see how close he was to me! All I was thinking about at the final corner was not to lock up and not make mistakes and fortunately I did not.
“When you are under pressure, and you do not snap under pressure, that is when you know you have your stuff together. Pressure motivates me. Everyone has their breaking point but I have not found that.”
“Already from last year it has been the happiest I have been but I am definitely at my happiest point.” He concluded.
