Spanish GP: Ricciardo confident Red Bull making progress

Daniel Ricciardo believes that Red Bull has making progress and close the gap between main rivals.

Even as he admits that “a little bit frustrated” following Friday’s Spanish Grand Prix free practice sessions, by the huge gap between dominated Mercedes duo.

“We are making progress, but unfortunately Mercedes don’t seem to be slowing down either, so they are a little bit far away,” Ricciardo told reporters after the second session at Barcelona.

“A little bit frustrated, Surprised, I don’t know, as they have been so strong already. I hoped we would probably close the gap a bit more – today was too far. He added.

“We are trying to pull them back, but we seem to be in a solid third place today.

“It would be nice to fight for a win soon, but for now it seems that thirds are – at least today – the best we can do.”
