Mark Webber set podium as Porsche claimed third place on its WEC debut

Formula 1 veteran MARK Webber climbed on the podium in his first race since leaves F1 with Porsche claimed third place on its WEC debut after a 15-year absence from sportscar racing.

He was joined on the final podium place by Brendon Hartley and Timo Bernhard. As fellow ex-Grand Prix star Anthony Davidson took the win in Britain’s biggest sportscar race.

The six-hour enduro at Silverstone was dominated by Toyota after arch-rivals Audi self-destructed when two of their drivers hurtled into the barriers.
