Bottas become the first driver to awarded penalty points

F1+Grand+Prix+Malaysia+Qualifying+oGe8siNhR4QxThe Williams speedy Valtteri Bottas has become the first driver to be awarded penalty points on his licence following the stewards given three place grid penalty, for the Malaysian Grand Prix.

The stewards found the Finn impeded Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo during qualifying. This three place penalty will drop him to 18th place on the grid.

Now he earned two penalty points, when he completes 12 penalty points he will be banned for one race.

The race steward says that, he delayed Daniel Ricciardo during qualifying Q2 as “the driver did not pay attention to the approaching car and continued to impede car three through turns 14 and 15″.

Following the incident frustrated Ricciardo says over the radio “Get this [censored by FOM] Williams out of my way!” on his radio after being held up by Bottas.
