Australian Grand Prix winner Nico Rosberg is fastest in the second free practice session for Malaysian Grand Prix. The German Mercedes set quickest lap-time ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel. Without take a single lap Pastor Maldonado and Kamui Kobayashi.
But, the German driver is not yet fully satisfied with the behaviour of his Mercedes. He also highlighted the difficult conditions faced by drivers with high heat and a larger than expected tire wear.
“The conditions were crazy”, said Rosberg. “With very, very hot temperatures, it is a huge challenge to do everything correctly. Cars are at the limit and the tire degradation was higher than expected today ‘ Today. We slip a little this year, perhaps because of reduced levels of support. ”
It has not escaped Rosberg that the difference could well have been reduced between the top teams, with five teams stood in 2/10 in the second free practice session.
“We still have a few problems and we did not have any maximize today. Fastest teams seem to be closer than in Australia, so we still have work to do tonight to improve our performance. ”
