2014 F1: Pirelli announces tyre allocations for first four races

Pirelli-Reifen-Formel-1-Bahrain-Test-2-Maerz-2014-fotoshowImage-f974b140-759013Pirelli has announced its tyre compound varieties for the first four races of the 2014 Formula one season.

The Italian tyre manufacture will provide Soft and Medium compounds for Australian, Bahrain and China. While next slot, Medium and Hard compounds will use in Malaysian Grand Prix.

“The information gained over all three tests has helped us to come up with the tyre choices for the start of the season, having run with the new 2014 tyres in all conditions now,” said Pirelli Motorsport Director Paul Hembery.

Also the Paul Hembery added that the 2014 tyres had proved more long-lasting than last season

“The conclusion we can draw so far is that the 2014 tyres are more consistent and wear less than their predecessors, without compromising performance,” he said.

“We’re also meeting another of our objectives with one more step towards the reduction of ‘marbles’ on the track.”
