Bahrain Day 1 – Rosberg: Mercedes suffered a bit, but still very strong

BheOmncIUAA7zIbNico Rosberg set fourth fastest and successively completed 89 laps in his W05, which was not quite consistent today.

Nico Rosberg: We cannot be too happy with today performance, although we did a lot of laps again, but we wanted more. The team did a good job, but your program could not finish it immediately.

The car received new parts, and they tried to test it in the right way. We’ve worked with them, but unfortunately today is not only experienced at the good things in our tests. In the morning managed to lap a few good and important, but the afternoon did not go so smoothly for all.

There were a few minor problems, which prevented the program to meet our little sooner than planned finished the job. We constantly push the envelope, and the tests are exactly this reason. We still have three full days, so I’m hopeful that all will be well in Melbourne and the package will bring out the most.

There are still many question marks, but I think that we are on track ahead. Regarding the reliability did not have much problem, and gradually you can focus on performance. We continue to work hard and getting ready.
