Existing Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone is confident that, the bribery charges against him will be dropped before his trial begins in April.
Ecclestone is facing a trial in Munich where he has been charged with bribery related to sale of F1 to CVC , he is to have paid former German banker Gerhard Gribkowsky a bribe of $45m.
If found culpable, can result in spend time in jail, from three months to 10 years in Germany.
But the Formula 1 supreme is expecting that it will be dropped off court before it even gets underway.
“Bet you it doesn’t happen,” was his response when BBC Sport asked him about the trial. Things happen in life and you have to get on with it.”
