2014 F1: Javier Pujolar as new race engineer for Jean Eric Vergne



F1 Grand Prix of USA - QualifyingToro Rosso driver Jean Eric Vergne now preparing for new exciting season, the French ace looking for a new fitness coach and recently appointed Javier Pujolar as new race engineer for 2014.

“I will , among others, a new race engineer , Javier Pujolar have , because Phil Charles, my previous race engineer this year takes over the role of chief engineer ,” says Vergne .

Pujolar changes for Williams to Toro Rosso. Until the start of the new season Vergne focused on his training program to be as fit as possible in the season opener in Melbourne.

“I spent the free time with my family and my friends. Well two weeks long intensive training. I love to be in the mountains, even if the training plan includes a lot of strength training,” says the Frenchman.

“I like the things you exercise outdoors, such as snowshoe walks, mountaineering and cross-country skiing. It is the first week, so it’s not as stressful. It is about building a solid foundation. ”

“In the coming week, we increase the pace. It is very important to exercise as much work as possible over the winter to work out some kind of additional training reserve for the season to start. According to the first Formula 1 test in Jerez is repeated once more “, Vergne said resolutely.
