FIA approved permanent number for F1 Drivers

FIA approved permanent number for F1 DriversDriver number changes have also been agreed by F1 Strategy Group and Formula One Commission meeting at Paris.

The F1 drivers allowed to keeps a number of their choice during their career, the No. 1 will continue to be reserved for the World Champion. If the same number is selected by more than one driver, then it will be awarded to the driver who placed highest in the drivers’ championship the season before.

Drivers can choose between No. 2 and No. 99 for their F1 careers.
