Vettel on Pole rain interrupted qualifying for Malaysian GP

Reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel took pole position on rain interrupted qualifying for Malaysian Grand Prix.

Vettel set fastest lap-time with fresh set of intermediates in final movement of qualifying session ahead of Ferrari’s Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso.

Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton seized interim pole in the early stage of Q3 and finally he shuffled on the fourth position for tomorrow race grid, Red Bull’s Mark Webber set fifth fastest.

Nico Rosberg managed sixth position ahead of Australian Grand Prix winner Lotus’ Kimi Raikkonen. McLaren struggled with off-pace but they managed to enter both cars into Q3, as Jenson Button and Sergio Perez took eighth and 10th respectively.

The McLaren duo split by Adrian Sutil’s Force India, which had been fastest in Q1 and his team-mate Paul di Resta spun weakly during the Q2 and finally set 15th.
