Finally German Grand Prix scheduled on the 2013 Formula 1 calendar, Formula 1 official right holder Bernie Ecclestone says that this year race will be held at the Nürburgring on 7 July.
Early stage of this season the circuit struggled with financial trouble, but following back-and-forth discussions among Nürburgring circuit organisers and Ecclestone, a deal has now been reached to save the race.
“I appreciate the Nürburgring and its history very much,” said Ecclestone.
“This circuit makes the highest demands on drivers and teams. I was very pleased to advocate the hosting of the Formula 1 race at the Nürburgring in order to sustain this traditional race track.”
Following the declaration brings the number of confirmed races in 2013 up to 19, with the vacant slot for a European round on July 21 still yet to be filled.
