The French speedy finished eighth in 2012 drivers’ championship just three points behind the Ferrari’s Felipe Mass. He took three podium finishes in this season, Bahrain Grand Prix (third place), Canadian Grand Prix (second place), and Hungarian Grand Prix (third place).
