Raikkonen: ‘Good atmosphere and less politics’ in Lotus

Kimi Raikkonen done an incredible return to sport with 2012 Formula 1, he credited one of the best consistent speedy of this season. 2007 world champion set third place in drivers’ championship with seven podium finish for this season.

The Finn becomes eighth winner of the season at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, now he expecting Lotus can keep this energy and it build up for 2013 F1. Also he has a high regard for with his team, the iceman says that ‘a good atmosphere and less politics’ at Lotus campaign.

“We scored a lot of points but we know if we had started the year stronger then we would probably still have been in the championship (at the final race),” Raikkonen said.

“I know the team now so it should be an easier start for us and hopefully we can build it up for next year.”

“There are always a lot of people who are involved, It is team work; everybody tried to do the same thing, to do the best we can and I think it has been a good atmosphere.

“I have always said this team is a bit different from the others I have raced for before. It is all about the racing and less about the politics and it is a good place to be.”
