Giedo van der Garde waiting for Caterham decision for 2013 F1

Caterham F1 already confirmed, Marussia ex- race driver Charles Pic for 2013 F1 race seat, now the Malaysian-owned F1 team looking for his team-mate for next challenging season.

Dutch racing driver Giedo van der Garde expecting Caterham will promoted him as a regular driver from current test driver role for 2013 F1 season.

On February 1, 2007 van der Garde made his first F1 appearance with Spyker F1 as the team’s test and reserve driver. On February 4, 2012, it was announced that van der Garde would be Reserve Driver for Caterham F1 for the 2012 Formula one season.

In final Grand Prix at Brazil, Vitaly Petrov’s eleventh place finish come back the team to the rewarding tenth position in the constructors’ championship. The Russian’s final race performance may be rewarded with a new deal for next season.

“We had hoped for clarification last week, but Caterham has moved the decision forwards,” Giedo van der Garde told Dutch magazine Formule 1.

“The decision is theirs and we can do nothing but wait and see. If all goes well, we will know in two weeks.”
