United Grand Prix newest edition called ‘The Circuit of the Americas’ the brand new 3.4 mile track that will hold 120,000 fans. Formula 1 Grand Prix has not been held since 2007, when it was at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In May of 2010, Formula 1 gave Austin a 10-year contract starting in 2012 and construction began on the first track in the United States to be propose-built for Formula 1.
The track features 20 turns and an elevation change of 133 feet, and consists of turns inspired by other circuits around the world. The circuit will be run counter-clockwise and the first corner is the highest point of the track.
