Rosberg: I’m very thankful that we are both fine

Following the serious incident during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Mercedes GP’s Nico Rosberg says that he is thankfully we are both escapes from the injury.

On the opening lap of the race Nico Rosberg collided with Lotus’s Romain Grosjean, and forced to pit for changing damaged front wing. He rejoins the race behind the HRT guy.

Unexpectedly Narain Karthikeyan slowed his car before the Turn 16 following Rosberg crashed into the back of Karthikeyan car and was launched over it before collided into the side-wall.

“Narain told me that his steering broke and he needed to brake which I didn’t expect in that high-speed corner. Rosberg said about the Yas Marina crash.

“There was no time for me to react, and I’m very thankful that we are both fine. I went to the medical centre for a precautionary check but everything is good. I will look forward now and hope for a better two races to end the season.”

Karthikeyan explained that was hydraulic pressure problem, consequences was steering was lose.

“On lap 9 we had a problem with the hydraulic pressure and steering of the car went rock solid, so I had to lift my foot off the accelerator,” HRT guy said.

“Unfortunately, Rosberg was coming from behind and couldn’t avoid me. It was tremendously unlucky.”
