Sebastian Vettel was early set fastest lap-time in second practice session for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton struggled in his first few laps, following the half-hour of the evening session, Lewis Hamilton set second fastest lap with hard-compound. Following first-half of the session defending world champion improved his lap time with best 1:41.751.
After the first one hour his team-mate Mark Webber’s practice running end, following his car’s floor problem (officially not confirmed).
Jenson Button put third fastest lap time with hard-compound, ahead of Australian Mark Webber. Championship contender Fernando Alonso struggled with heavy traffic and under steering.
Final 45 minutes all guys are running with yellow side wall compound, Sergio Perez the first man running with soft-compound, but he struggled with under steering.
At the evening session temperatures having dropped clearly since the first session – and while Sergio Perez set an early marker of 1m45.819s, it didn’t stand for long as first Kimi Raikkonen posted a 1m44.503s.
Romain Grosjean posted fifth fastest ahead of his team-mate Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso set seventh fastest ahead of his team-mate Felipe Massa.
Williams’s Pastor Maldonado was ninth and future McLaren speedy Sergio Perez posted tenth fastest ahead of the Brazilian Bruno Senna.
