McLaren pace matched with Red Bull, when both run with Soft tyre (yellow compound), But Red Bull’s Super Soft run showed improving lap-time on every lap.
Jenson Button took third fastest ahead of Lotus duo Romain Grosjean and Kimi Raikkonen respectively. Lotus’s new Coanda-effect exhausts offered fourth and fifth fastest in the final practice field.
Championship leader Fernando Alonso was set sixth fastest, 1.063s down on Vettel. Red Bull Mark Webber took seventh fastest ahead Ferrari’s Felipe Massa.
Williams’s Pastor Maldonado was managed ninth fastest, ahead Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg. Future McLaren driver Sergio Perez set 11th fastest ahead of Mercedes duo Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher.
