Vettel wins 2012 Japanese Grand Prix

Defending world champion Sebastian Vettel seized Japanese Grand Prix with Pole position, fastest lap, and top podium. Vettel now just four points behind the Fernando Alonso following the he was retired in a first-lap crash.

The Brazilian come-back on second on the podium from 10th on the grid, it was his second place in nearly two seasons.

Home boy Kamui Kobayashi beat McLaren’s Jenson Button and took his maiden F1 podium in third place with his home crowd.

In first lap Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen’s Lotus hits wheels on the run to the turn one. That caused damage to the Ferrari and left it spinning into the sand trap.
