Schumacher’s retirement a big loss for Formula 1 – Rosberg

Michael Schumacher’s team-mate Nico Rosberg says that, the German retirement a big loss for F1 sport. Schumi joined with fellow citizen Rosberg at Mercedes GP since the start of the 2010 F1 season.

Currently Rosberg seventh on the drivers championship with 93 points, Schumi on 12th with just 43 points on hand. Seven times world champion admits that he is now in the ‘red zone’, because he decided to exit from the sport.

Lewis Hamilton will join with Nico Rosberg at Mercedes next three year, today the German declared his second F1 departure at Suzuka.

“This is a big loss for our sport,” Rosberg says.

“Michael did a huge amount to make Formula 1 so popular in Germany and lots of fans switched on their TV sets because of him. He achieved so much. It has been and continues to be something special and a great experience for me to drive with him and against him.” Rosberg added.

“In the last three years we pushed the team hard together which will help us in the years to come. I wish him all the best for the future.”
