Sebastian Vettel hints that he is not fully satisfied with Red Bull both practice session pace; he says it is only Friday.
Defending world champion Sebastian Vettel locked both practice session quickest lap-time, the German now fourth in the drivers’ championship 39 points behind the title leader Fernando Alonso.
Vettel was struggled in recent qualifying session. But he said he is more contented on the soft and super-softs on suggest in Singapore.
“We can be quite happy, but let’s see what we do tomorrow,” said Vettel after Friday practice. “It is only Friday.
“Especially around here it is not very conclusive because people might be in traffic and get stuck. All in all, the car seemed to work on either tyre and we go from there.”
The Australian Mark Webber finished as fourth quickest and said he experienced his car was spirited around the Singapore grand prix circuit.
“I think we have got the normal suspects hopefully again at the front, and it can be us fighting for the front row with McLaren and Ferrari,” said Webber.
“But we never take anything for granted. We have a fresh day tomorrow; we have to be ready for that. Normally we find a bit of a step from Friday to Saturday, with the exception of the last few events, and we are looking forward to putting up a good challenge this weekend.”
