Sauber: No hurry to take a decision for 2013 driver’s line-up

Sauber F1 team CEO Monisha Kaltenborn says that the team no rush to settle its driver line-up for the 2013 Formula 1 season.

The Swiss team current driver Sergio Perez has link with Ferrari and McLaren. But recently Perez rejected the latest speculation. Kaltenborn says speculation is no interruption, they are still happy with their driver’s top form.

Kamui Kobayashi is now in 12th position in the drivers’ standings and has been fairly outshine by team-mate Perez this season.

“In real terms there is no deadline,” Kaltenborn told the reporters ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix.

“Naturally there are a few key dates when it would be helpful for the development [of the car] if one knew who the drivers would be. But I believe we are still some way away from that.”

“There is no pressure. We are not in a hurry and nothing forces us to take a decision. But there is also nothing stopping us. We just plan to concentrate on this season.”

“The speculation is no distraction. It is interesting that when one of our drivers has a good race the speculation starts; when he does not, nobody talks about it. Thus we always know exactly when the speculation will start.” She added.
