Hamilton Pleasing at McLaren event despite doubtful future

Lewis Hamilton was out and about on Friday fulfilling part of his Vodafone McLaren obligations with a move to rivals Mercedes looking ever more likely.

The racing star handed out Vodafone VIP rewards along with Jenson Button at the N1 centre in London but there is only a 50-50 chance of him staying with McLaren.

Mercedes want to make the 27-year-old their No 1 driver and Hamilton would love the opportunity to work with team principal Ross Brawn.

He is expected to make a final decision on his future in the run-up to the Singapore Grand Prix next weekend.

McLaren’s latest offer to Hamilton to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the current campaign, is understood to be worth considerably less than his existing £15million-a-year terms… Read Full
