Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has ruled out the chances of, Sauber’s Sergio Perez driving for his Italian squad for next season. He says the Sauber speedy need more experience.
Following the Massa’s formless driving build up, the Mexican move to Ferrari for next season; it was strongly linked after his best finish at Malaysian Grand Prix second place. In this season Perez finished on three podiums, two second place, and one third place.
Sergio Perez continue to battle with front runners, Ferrari president says that the Mexican is still too inexperienced’ for Ferrari.
“Next season is too early,” Di Montezemolo said during an interview with Sky Sports.
“I’m very pleased for him because first of all it showed that our choice when we picked up him as a young driver was good. Then it is thanks to Sauber, thanks to the Ferrari Academy, he grow up.
“To put a young guy to Ferrari with the pressure of Ferrari, you need more experience.”
Di Montezemolo admits that Ferrari likes to German joins with Fernando Alonso, and he would welcome Vettel at Ferrari in the future.
“I think that Vettel is more or less in the condition like when Michael was in Benetton [in the mid-1990s], He’s young, he’s a very good driver, and he’s making a very good experience. So this could be, of course in the theory, but if you have to ask me a name I have to tell you this name.” he said.
