Two separate DRS zones for 2012 Italian GP

Double DRS zone remain in Italian Grand Prix, once more, these will be on the runs to the chicanes of Curva di Lesmo and Ascari.

FIA decided to use two separate DRS zones for next Italian GP. At most races this season use only one DRS zone in which the overtaking device can be deployed during races, but in Montreal and Valencia two areas were set up.

At those events the two DRS zones were on consecutive straights, but with a single detection point allowing drivers to trigger their wing flap for both.

The first DRS zone will naturally be along the start/finish straight. The second among the Curva di Lesmo (turn 7) and Ascari (turn 8).

Since the termination of the original Hockenheim following the 2001 race, Monza has been by far the fastest race on the Formula 1 calendar.
