Massa confident renew the Ferrari deal for 2013 F1

The Ferrari speedy Felipe Massa is optimistic that possibly he will renew the deal with Italian F1 squad for upcoming season.

Struggled Felipe Massa took his second best finish in Belgian Grand Prix last weekend. But he took just 35 points and eleventh on the drivers’ championship season compared to his team-mate Fernando Alonso’s 164.

Eleven times race winner Brazilian still remains expecting that he can renew the Ferrari deal for 2013 F1.

“For sure I expect to be in a different position in the Championship [to the one] like I am,” Massa said.

“But I just concentrate on my job which is driving the car, driving the quickest speed I can. I am frustrated with my qualifying, not with my races, and I’m sure improving a bit my qualifying I can be very strong in the race and change completely the results.

“As I said, I didn’t sign anything for next year yet but I think we have the possibilities to sign [with Ferrari] and let’s wait and see.

“I don’t know when but we just need to concentrate on the result of the race. I think that’s the main important thing for my future as well.”
