Hamilton to run in Indian at Marine Drive in Mumbai

After two busy weekends at Belgium and Italy, Lewis Hamilton will take demonstration run in Indian with McLaren current machine MP4-27 on the streets of Mumbai on Sunday 16 September.

Latest year he was successfully demonstrated a McLaren ride in Bangalore ahead of inaugural Indian Grand Prix. Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is expected to be a significant crowd. Formula 1 continues to grow in India following the country’s first Grand Prix last year.

“I always love coming to India and I am really excited to be coming to the city of Mumbai this time” Hamilton tells the Indian media.

“I would like to thank Vodafone for their continued support to the team. I am simply overwhelmed by the incredible excitement shown by the people of this country.”

“I had a wonderful experience in Bangalore last year and this year I am hoping that the excitement will be faster, smarter and better in Mumbai,” Hamilton said.

The street race experience in Mumbai is an exclusive event that happens so far only in Monaco and Singapore. We are very happy to bring our customers to get closer to this action,” he added.

2012 Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix will be staged on 28 October.
