Struggled Jenson Button uncovered his one of the best performance at Spa qualifying for Belgian GP. The McLaren speedy pleased with the Pole position and especially this is his first Pole since Monaco Grand Prix 2009 for Brawn GP, Button’s title winning season.
Button posted best at Spa since took third place for Williams in 2000 F1 season. Now the story little bit change for title fighters. As Lotus speedy Kimi Raikkonen today starts from third on the grid ahead all title contenders.
“This feels as close to winning a Grand Prix as it has for a long time,” Button said in the press conference. “A win tomorrow is now really important for the championship.”
“This is pretty emotional, my first pole since Monaco 2009,” he continued. “We just got the balance right this morning (following rear wing repairs). “I am (88) points behind Fernando (Alonso), so the title is a long shot but I won’t be giving up.”
