Hamilton wins 2012 Hungarian GP

Lewis Hamilton took his second victory of 2012 F1 world championship. After the race McLaren send the message him via radio ‘magnificent drive the whole weekend’. The 27-year-old in turn heaps praise on the team.

Lewis Hamilton withstands Kimi Raikkonen attacks to claim victory in the Hungarian Grand Prix and energize a title fight that had begun to go with the flow since Hamilton’s last victory at Canada.

Lewis Hamilton now fourth in drivers’ standings five points behind the behind the defending world champion Sebastian Vettel.

Hamilton made a clean start in the race and Romain Grosjean powerfully defends Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel at first curve. Following McLaren’s Jenson Button was move up the position ahead of Vettel.

Button can’t improve pace to equal Hamilton and Grosjean’s pace. Kimi Raikkonen dominated the second-half of the, he start from sixth on the grid, following his first pit-stop Kimi catch Fernando Alonso and his second pit-stop gives second place from his team-mate Grosjean.

Jenson Button made a premature second of three stops, Vettel was free to start contagious the leaders too, but in the end it was Raikkonen who emerged almost from nowhere to become Hamilton’s main challenger.

Winner Hamilton and Raikkonen were then tied together until the flag, but there was nothing the Lotus could do to pass the McLaren. Grosjean finished final place on the podium start from second place in the grid.

Sebastian Vettel set fourth place and championship leader Fernando Alonso done fifth place ahead of McLaren’s Jenson Button.

Williams’ Bruno Senna done a fantastic job and took seventh place ahead of Red Bull’s Mark Webber. The Australian starts from 11th on the grid and gains his position on the opening lap and took seventh.

Ferrari’s Felipe Massa was finished ninth. Mercedes GP’s Nico Rosberg reclaim a point for Mercedes as his team-mate Michael Schumacher endured one of his most depressing races in F1.
