Williams’ Gillan says less time to react to any issues

This season Williams F1 come back with Renault machine and its gives their big results especially Maldonado took top podium in Spanish GP. But mostly they are struggled with Maldonado’s penalty and reprimand. Maldonado is the most times to get penalty and warning seven times from 10 races.

In last race at Germany Williams failed to finish with points and Force India now just one point behind in the championship, the Silverstone based squad gets two points for Nico Hülkenberg’s ninth place.

Williams duo Pastor Maldonado and Bruno Senna in 11th and 16th places in drivers’ championship with 29 and 18 points in hand respectively.

“Logistics of the back-to-back races are always a bit more difficult, with less turnaround between the events and therefore less time to react to any issues,” explains Mark Gillan, Williams’ Chief Operations Engineer.

“The competition is so tight at the moment that one must ensure that you extract the maximum performance from the car – there is no room for errors.”
