Perez says no more talks with Ferrari for future seat

Sergio Perez admits that he is not more talks with Ferrari for his future race seat as replacing Felipe Massa. Massa struggled in the season opening races it’s greatly related with Perez move to Ferrari at the end of the season.

The Mexican is the part of the Ferrari’s young driver academy; some reports still in the F1 paddock that Perez to get a chance in Ferrari, when they make a decision to discontinue with the Massa at the end of the season.

When asked if he had held discussion with Ferrari, Perez said: No, none at all. We are focusing fully on this season. It has been a very busy season so far, so it is too soon for me to think about my future.”

“It’s not [something] that I will push. I have to see what the options are and then I will decide. If there is an opportunity with them [Ferrari] or another team then that is the time to know.”

Perez is also added that he has a good association with the double world champion Fernando Alonso who is the current drivers’ championship leader.

“Yes,” Perez replied when asked if he had a good relationship with Alonso. “I speak with him, I speak the same language, so I am quite OK with him.”

Perez is also pleased with own performance support and he says Sauber is still in a midfield team.

“I think I have done a very good job this season and I have proved that I have the speed and the consistency as well,” he added.

“If you look at my whole season it has been up and down, but not because I have been inconsistent. He added.

“Many things come into account and we cannot forget that we are still a midfield team. So I am comfortable with the position I am in. My target is to keep doing very good races and then I will decide very soon what my future is going to be.”
