Button fastest in rain interrupted first practice for the German GP

McLaren guys Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton posted quickest lap time in rain-hit Friday free practice for German Grand Prix.

Jenson Button early set his best and top fastest lap-time with 1:16.595. His team-mate Lewis Hamilton posted second fastest 0.498s gap between top times.

Discontinues rain hits the Friday opening free practice lots of time the drivers spending in garage. Upgraded McLaren showed better performance.

Championship leader Fernando Alonso was done third fastest la-time ahead of local guy Michael Schumacher. Sauber’s Sergio Peres set fifth fastest ahead of local boys Nico Hulkenberg and Mercedes GP’s Nico Rosberg.

Final 10 minutes offer some dry running opportunity and also an outbreak of activity on the timing board as Hamilton posted second quickest. Alonso improved again to go third and Michael Schumacher fourth.

Felipe Massa done eighth ahead of Pastor Maldonado and Grosjean, World champion Sebastian Vettel 12th and Mark Webber 20th. Kimi Raikkonen was 15th in the Lotus, running with the new double DRS system, having only completed 14 laps in total.
