Michael Schumacher on Pole for 2012 Monaco GP



Michael Schumacher was on pole for Monaco Grand Prix. But Red Bull Racing’s Mark Webber will start from the pole the cause that seven-time world champion get five place grid penalty for the crash with Sauber’s Sergio Perez at Spanish Grand Prix.

Schumacher has done the top quickest lap with 1:14.301, just 0.080 seconds ahead the Red Bull’s Mark Webber. Schumacher’s team-mate Nico Rosberg seized third on the pole for tricky Monaco Grand Prix.

McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton was set fourth quickest, to the lead of Lotus’s Romain Grosjean – the French speedy too struggled in middle sector on his last lap.

Ferrari duo Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa set sixth and seventh respectively. Lotus speedy Kimi Raikkonen was done eighth fastest ahead of the Spanish GP winner Pastor Maldonado. Maldonado has gone from hero to zero with that move on Perez in final practice.

Double world champion Sebastian Vettel not set best lap in Q3, he saved tyre for Sunday race. McLaren’s Jenson Button was unsuccessful to set Q2. McLaren speedy could not improve on the 1m15.536s lap that had put him back in 13th behind the Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg and Sauber’s Kamui Kobayashi.

Kobayshi’s team-mate Sergio Perez was crashed in Q1 qualifying again as he slip into the Swimming Pool wall – apparently due to a mechanical trouble. Perez to drag his damaged Sauber back to the pits but succeeded only in causing a red flag.

Bruno Senna again unsuccessful to match Williams’s team-mate Maldonado’s pace and was only 14th.
Heikki Kovalainen came within a tenth of getting his Caterham into Q2 and beat team-mate Vitaly Petrov by nearly a second. Pedro de la Rosa was also impressive as he split the Marussia and was only a tenth off Timo Glock.
