Mercedes fined 5000 euro for unsafe release in Chinese GP

The Mercedes GP gets 5,000 euro fines for unsafe release of Michael Schumacher pit-stop in Chinese Grand Prix.

Schumacher was forced to retire from the race following failed to fix the front right tyre correctly through his first and only pit stop.

After the incident stewards investigates and the FIA imposed a fine of 5,000 euro to the team following the race for the unsafe release of the German’s car.

“The prompt action of the driver, in stopping the car as soon as the problem was noticed, is taken into account in the penalty determination,” said the stewards.
