FIA has confirmed the Single DRS zone for the upcoming Malaysian Grand Prix at the Sepang international circuit. 2012 opening race in Australian Grand Prix was run with double DRS zone.
Sepang the detection point is placed 207 metres before the final hairpin with the activation point straight following the corner, meaning the drivers will be capable to use the rear-wing stalling device for the full length of the long pit straight. DRS zone same as in 2011.
