Hispania Racing confirmed that they will not take part in second pre-season test at Barcelona. The Spanish F1 outfit declared via Twitter, that its new car had failed two of the mandatory crash tests, albeit by a “minor margin”.
HRT wants to pass a number of other mandatory crash tests relatively with new rule and regulation.
HRT used its 2011 car this week at Jerez, says it will miss the first Barcelona test but “should” be there for the second.
HRT run the F111 at Jerez last week to give Pedro de la Rosa time in the car the team could have chosen to take the old car to Barcelona too. But, HRT has now decided that it will miss the second test in order to ensure that all trouble are overcome in time for the final test from March 1-4.
