Adrian Sutil will stand for trial in 30 and 31 January in Munich District Court on a charge of aggravated assault. While in a Shanghai nightclub on 17 April 2011, he purportedly stabbed Luxembourgian entrepreneur and founding partner of Genii Capital, co-owner of the Lotus Renault GP F1 team in the neck with a broken glass.
While Luxembourgian received 24 stitches and is sure that the incident was deliberate, Sutil has stated that he meant to throw only a drink and not its glass.
