(Ferrari – Official) – Christmas is a time for celebration and tradition. Today, within the Ferrari premises at Maranello one of those traditions saw the lights go on on the Christmas tree, a gift from the city of Brunico. A delegation from the South Tyrol city, led by the Mayor, Christian Tschurtschenthaler and President of the Tourist Board that donated the tree, Martin Huber, took part in the ceremony alongside Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo, Vice-President Piero Ferrari, Managing Director Amadeo Felisa and the two Scuderia drivers, Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso.”
“Over ten thousand low energy fairly lights came on simultaneously, lighting the twenty metre tall fir tree, set up outside the company restaurant. This tradition strengthens the ties between Ferrari and the city of Bruneck which, at the beginning of the year, hosted 300 journalists from around the world, as they tested the FF, the first Ferrari four-seater four wheel drive car, on the twisty and spectacular hairpins on the Gardena Sella, Pordoi and Campolongo passes, as well as through the streets of Brunico and the snow capped 2,350 metre summit of the Plan de Corones.”
