Sept.12 – The Brazilian Bruno Senna happy with his opening scoreboard for Renault GP at Monza
Following a disappointed entrance campaign with HRT in 2010, at the end of which he was dropped, there was horror Bruno would never take a point.
“It was getting close to that last year,” said Senna when asked if was concerned at the prospect of never scoring a point in his F1 career. Hopefully now we will score a few more points. The car has great potential and we can go forward from here after what was a really good, fun race.
“It was very eventful again with plenty of action, overtaking and having to push very hard, learning on the go. There was not a single lap where I was not trying everything I could to go as fast as possible without destroying the tyres.”
“It’s going to be tough in the Asian part of the series again,” added Senna.
“I don’t know the tracks as well as the European circuits, but I am looking forward to it. This race has given me a nice confidence boost in terms of performance in the race and I think we will be able to fight well.”
